Hopefully our exhaustive testing will ensure this never happens but – never say never! If it does happen, RuleTrader should trap the error, report the problem, then restart itself. For the restart to happen automatically, ShareScope’s intraday fee must be enabled.

To restart RuleTrader manually, please follow these steps:

1. Enter the following, exactly as shown (the parentheses are important) into the data entry field on the bottom edge of the Console, then hit Enter on your keyboard:

2. Next, please right-click on any column headings that are showing an error in their headers, then click on Refresh Script.

3. Step 2 may be sufficient to restart RuleTrader but if it isn’t then simply right-click on the Chart panel, then click on Refresh Study and RuleTrader will restart (you’ll be able to see its progress in the Console)
