RuleTrader’s Dashboard dialog is the main control interface for all RuleTrader operations except running trading reports and, in RuleTrader Live, entering the details of a trade. It is accessed through the ‘Dashboard’ button on the panel in the top-left hand corner of the main historical data chart, in both the RuleTrader Test and RuleTrader Live layouts. You may need to click the ‘+’ icon on the panel to expand it, if it is in its collapsed state (important tip: if the panel is collapsed, RuleTrader will not respond to any clicks on the chart).

Once expanded, you’ll see the ‘Dashboard’ and ‘Reports’ buttons in both the RuleTrader Test and Live layouts. In the RuleTrader Live layout, only, you’ll also see a ‘Trade Share’ button.

The ‘Reports’ button opens the Reports dialog, where you can run trade performance and accounts reports to show you results of back-tests and to track how well your live trading system is performing. In The ‘Trade Share’ button displays the Trade Entry dialog and is used to enter the details of share trades into RuleTrader, so it can monitor the positions for you
