When you start ShareScope / RuleTrader after a period of days have passed since the Live session was last used, the Live system will apply your trading rules to the data from each day, to ensure no important data is missed. Depending on the complexity of your trading system, the number of shares in its trading list, and whether those lists need to be reselected, this may take a few minutes.

A few things you can do to speed this process are:

1. Leave ShareScope running in the background on your PC, with the RuleTrader Live session selected
2. Apply stricter criteria in your List Selectors to reduce the number of shares in your system’s trading list. Aiming for no more than 150 – 200 shares is recommended.
3. Ensure all the Performance Settings are checked in the Advanced Settings dialog, reached from the System Settings tab of the RuleTrader Live Dashboard
