System Params tab

The System Parameters tab, on the Live Dashboard, lets you alter the value of constant terms in your Trading Spec, without recompiling it

The System Parameters tab allows you to set the value of numeric or percentage value terms, or the state (true/false) of condition terms, without recompiling your Spec and having to wait for a Soft Reset to complete. They are useful for adjusting thresholds or for setting/unsetting conditional terms, so they can, for example, act as switches to e.g. enable or disable a conditional trading strategy; or to flag a risk-on or risk-off market state.

Only constant terms can be set in this way. A constant (i.e. invariant) term is one that is defined with a fixed value or state, rather than being the changeable result of an expression.

Parameter Values: This group shows the terms that you have selected to be System Parameters. Here you can set the term’s value or state, or remove it from the list

Add Constant Parameters: This group allows you to select a term from the drop-down list then add it as a System Parameter, by clicking the Add button
