Drawdowns

Max Drawdown %Maximum percentage decrease in capital from a previous highest high in the period to the next lowest low, where the lowest low is defined as the lowest price reached before a new high price (that is even higher than the previous highest high) is found, or until the end of the period, whichever is sooner. As each high is found, the previous low is confirmed and the previous percentage drawdown to that low is stored. When the end of the period is reached, the largest of the percentage drawdowns found in the period is returned.
Max Drawdown  % End DateDate the Max Drawdown % ended
Max Drawdown  % Start DateDate the Max Drawdown % started
Max Drawdown Maximum value decrease in capital from a previous highest high in the period to the next lowest low, calculated in the same way as Max Drawdown % but using the value change of the drawdown. Note the value drawdown for each period won’t necessarily return the same drawdown as Max Drawdown % in the period, as the % drawdown depends on the start value of the drawdown.
Max Drawdown End DateDate the Max Drawdown started
Max Drawdown Start DateDate the Max Drawdown started

NB: Paid dividends are always included in drawdown calculations, irrespective of the ‘Dividends are:’ setting.
